I have played the original Freelancer as LAN based game and SP.

I have been mostly NPC hunting in Sirius and briefly into Altair to purchase a Saracen and accompany Sa_Riebens on SAC Alert 110 (Gladius Blockade Busting)

I have spent 46 hours online so far and killed 1212 NPCs and visited 49 systems and 74 bases and am currently position 426 on the Crossfire Stats board.

I have some information of the Silver Arrows Due to SA_Riebens' discussions about them and reading the Member's manual.

I know I would be an asset to the clan not just as a Fighter but definitely as an Explorer.

I hope to have a positive response to this application.

Dear Lady Caprica,

The SAC is glad to receive your application. You look well informed about us and also greatly motivated ! Your impressive flight record, your taste for exploration and adventure plus, of course, a special recommendation from Lieutenant Riddick all vote in your favor.

We hereby accept you as a Recruit of the SA and, for a specially reduced period of two weeks, you will submit to the Recruitment Trial Period to eventually pass the Graduation Test and become a regular member of the Silver Arrows. Until then, you shall not use the clan tag (SA_).

During this trial period, you will discover more deeply how the clan works and see if it suits your expectations well. On our side, the Training Officers will evaluate your potential which we believe will be great.

Report to one of the Training Officers (TO) to start your training and begin learning the basics to become a Silver Arrow. Current acting TOs are Fleet-Admiral Sam Thomas (ARROW), Rear-Admiral Ryleous Arkane (ORION), Captain Connor O'Neill (SEQAN), Rear-Admiral Martind Forlon (FORLON) and Rear-Admiral Elodie Vox (FAABY). yup but i know she's been over Ben's shoulder for months learning about CF and SA. Remember i got discretionary power as the clan leader to reduce the recruitment trial period for those with an existing knowledge about the clan or the game. Plus, Ben recommended her to us.

I've never really used that power until now because we always had a good recruitment rate (1 recruit per month was slow but steady), had been for a long time on a 1 or 2 weeks trial period before and mostly had new CF players recruited which needed time to learn. I think only Ben and Endeavour have spent the month under the most recent restrictions. They are two great fellows, sadly john has been injured badly and hasn't showed us his true potential yet, but everyone who just spent 2 weeks have been equally loyal and good mates to all of us also.

Perhaps i need to consult with forlon and see if this 1 month period has proven really efficient or did it made recruitment too rough. Ofc, in the case of those who spent more time in trial would get a bonus somehow to compensate... i'll keep you posted...

hi

Due to the time constraints on the TOs, I found that my 1 month was adequite to get to know the intimate workings of the clan social structure, but it did not do much to my preparedness for taking the Trail.

I would say that a 2 week period, with at least two TO interactions would be ok.

(during my 1 month, i had 1 interaction with Sa_Forlon - due to RL timing problems on his side)

Maybe the TOs should proactively engage with new recruits and not wait for the recruits to contact them.
