Desired activity : explore, defend, patrol. Training in the future would be fine.
Freelancer background : played well beyond the end of SP three times as well as on private lan with local friends.
------------------------------ limited experience with online play and mods. Plenty of competative flight experience in more traditional flying games. I'm working on refining my combat in game, but am a little hindered by the keyboard. I'm looking for a program that I can use to successfully map keyboard functions to my flight stick so I an use it left handed to control strafing and common commands in a more intuitive way with fewer missed key strokes. I have a decent amount of rp experience, but again, not in freelancer.

I do currently have a full class schedule and a job, so my in game time is limited. I play when I can. As such, I don't expect any particular financial support. More or less, I want some activity within a group that I can rely on and who's goals fit with mine.

Hello Lynx, welcome here. I will have more questions on you before we officially decide about your application. Can you pls tell how you find us (alone, recommendation)? Next one is ... have you Crossfire 1.9 MP (or SP) experience? (how many hours?) And for now last one is how often per week you expect will have possibility to be in space?

... we gladly will help ppl learn about Crossfire, but before is pilot ready for clan experience, he should have first at least minimal knowledge what he want (=is for him best for finding fun when is on Crossfire) because being clan memeber will limit his experience and playing due clan RP choice.

1. Well, I happened upon the SA recruitment page in the swat portal forum, and it matched what I thought a fun clan should be like.
2. Well, I've honestly played a lot more of the SP than MP, but I'm not fully through the original story line for this play through yet.
total hours since I've installed crossfire might be roughly 20 hours, but I could only say that less then ten of those are on MP.

3. the last question is one I've been trying to work out. I would say 1 or 2 evenings plus an occasional day on Sunday or Monday, but in that time I also have to fight my wife for the computer until I'm finished rebuilding the desktop. I'm OK with moving up very slowly if you guys are OK with an intermittent wing-man. I certainly know how to be accountable, but I have many obligations which necessarily stand ahead of my leisure activity.

as for knowing what I want, I came into this this time around knowing what I wanted to do. Swat doesn't have SA listed as clearly as clans like the DG and FALLEN, so I already spent a good deal of my free moments in the last few weeks making some preliminary decisions about what kind of structure I wanted to establish in a clan. (the original intention being to establish one with the friends I used to play this with)

What I came up was a guideline for a PSC (private security company) which the SA happens to adhere closely to in all the major elements. Joining SA won't alter my play style as much as it will give me people to play with regularly.

I realize that my experience in the extended universe is limited and that without a maxed out fighter I'm not considerably effective in PvP fights yet, but I really feel the only thing I'm lacking is server experience which will come considerably easier if I feel like I have something to do while on the server. (and perhaps someone to point out I'm about to make a mistake on occasion)

P.S. is that avatar from Sins of a Solar Empire?? It seems familiar...

Thx for your answers, I will need little think about it and tomorrow we decide. And I can say that is good that you know about priority for RL, I have few more things for discussion, but I think tomorrow we will have possibility talk here on forum in private area.

I will completely understand if you want to postpone this process for a while until I finish exploring the new systems and such, as I uppose I jumped he gun a bit, but I would much prefer to play in a group than as a loner. I've done like 500 hrs of that in vanilla SP.

It looks that your knowledge about Crossfire universe is limited, but on other side we think that you are well aware about your strengths and weakness and this not only in ship cockpit. We hereby accept you as a Recruit of the Silver Arrows and, for a period of two weeks (minimal), you will submit to the Recruitment Trial Period in order to acquire basic skills and knowledge about our clan to make you ready to pass the Graduation Test and become a regular member of the Silver Arrows.
